Article 1 (General & Grant of License)

This Agreement governs the use of RoamSwitch provided by Lafine Systems Design. By installing or using the software, you agree to these terms.

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run the software on Mac devices you legally manage.

Article 2 (Restrictions)

You shall not engage in any of the following activities:

• Decompiling, disassembling, reverse engineering, or attempting to extract source code.
• Modifying, redistributing, reselling, or renting the software to third parties.
• Using audit or security features to launch unauthorized attacks on third-party networks.
• Infringing upon the intellectual property or privacy rights of any party.
• Using the software for illegal or unlawful purposes.

Article 3 (Intellectual Property)

All intellectual property rights in and to the software remain the exclusive property of Lafine Systems Design.

Article 4 (Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability)

• The software is provided 'AS IS' without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
• Lafine Systems Design shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use.

Article 5 (Third-Party Licenses)

Portions of this software integrate open-source components (e.g. ClamAV under GPLv2). Apple, macOS, and Mac are trademarks of Apple Inc.

Article 5-2 (Bundled app "PersonalSOC")

"PersonalSOC", which is bundled with the distribution, is a separate app from the Software and is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. These terms do not apply to PersonalSOC; the license text (LICENSE) shipped with it applies. If you enable PersonalSOC's LLM integration (off by default), content may be sent externally through the LLM command you select. That transmission follows the terms of the LLM you select and its provider, and is outside the scope of the Software's "Zero Telemetry" description.

Article 5-3 (Bundled app "PathScope")

"PathScope", which is bundled with the distribution, is a separate app from the Software and is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. These terms do not apply to PathScope; the license text (LICENSE) shipped with it applies. PathScope analyzes the configuration of this device in read-only mode. If you enable PathScope's LLM integration (off by default), a summary of the analysis results and the contents of the configuration files you have it read with "LLM assist" (by default, values that look like passwords or keys are replaced and files such as private keys are not sent; if you choose "unrestricted" in Settings, things like password hashes are sent too, but private key files are still not sent and API key and password values are still replaced; replacement cannot be guaranteed to find every secret) may be sent externally through the LLM command you select. That transmission follows the terms of the LLM you select and its provider, and is outside the scope of the Software's "Zero Telemetry" description.

Article 5-4 (Bundled tool "AccessScope")

"AccessScope", which is bundled with the distribution, is a separate tool from the Software and is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. These terms do not apply to AccessScope; the license text (LICENSE) shipped with it applies. AccessScope analyzes web server, SSH, mail, database and similar logs in read-only mode. To work, AccessScope stores the following files on this device (all with permission 0600): its settings; the list of logs found by discovery (log paths and short notes only; discovered.json); state files used to compare with the previous diagnosis (finding fingerprints, counts and timestamps, plus converted values (hashes) and timestamps of the User-Agent families and paths seen, used to compare with the usual; no log contents; a hash is not anonymization, and values with few candidates, such as IPv4 addresses, can be recovered by brute force); and exclusion rules that the user writes (including reasons and IPs; suppress.toml). AccessScope itself does not send these files anywhere. If you use AccessScope's LLM integration (off by default in the window; on the command line, specifying --llm constitutes consent), a summary of the diagnosis (including statistics such as counts, the names of the input log files and the reasons the user wrote in exclusion rules, and the stages, counts, account names and periods contained in detections of activity across logs, logins from unfamiliar sources and differences from the usual; IPs are defanged or pseudonymized) and the evidence log lines (secrets are masked; however, the masking cannot be guaranteed to find every secret) and, for the log-finding feature, information about this device's environment such as the names of running servers, log paths, and the names and sizes of files (not file contents) may be sent to the service of the LLM you select, through its command. That transmission follows the terms of the LLM you select and its provider, and is outside the scope of the Software's "Zero Telemetry" description.

Article 6 (Governing Law & Jurisdiction)

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of Japan, with exclusive jurisdiction in the Tokyo District Court.

3. Business Continuity & End-of-Life Policy

RoamSwitch is developed and provided by one person (Lafine Systems Design). So that a purchased license never simply stops working — whether something happens to the developer or the product must be discontinued — the following applies:

• Offline license validation. Pro licenses are verified with an Ed25519 signature and a device hash — no internet connection or server of ours is required. If the activation server goes away, already-activated Macs and Linux machines keep working.
• Final build kept available. If the product is discontinued, the last released version stays downloadable for as long as reasonably possible, signed with our Developer ID (Mac) / GPG key (Linux).
• Key components are public. The bundled MCP server and detection logic, and the RoamSwitchKit SDK, are already published on GitHub under the MIT license. A third party can fork them and continue maintenance.
• Linux edition keeps shipping. RoamSwitch for Linux (Community Edition) is free and remains available from the apt / dnf / zypper repositories and GitHub Releases.
• Notice. If we decide to discontinue the product, we will announce it on lafine.net and GitHub as far in advance as we can (no specific notice period is guaranteed).
• Refunds. Because licenses keep working after discontinuation as described above, discontinuation is not grounds for a refund.
